Last week in preparation for STATE Tests this week the 3rd-5th graders went through a Bootcamp. They were mentally and physically tired going home everyday! In the classroom they had Drills which consisted of reviews over things that needed to be worked on or what they learned at the beginning of the year. Then every so often they would have a 15 minute brain break to get their wiggles out and relax their brain! We had a lot of fun Monday the Fire Department stopped by and showed our kids just how strong you need to be to unroll and pull those wonderful water hose. Then we had an obstacle course and practice with cadences/marching on Tuesday! Wednesday was even more fun with capture the flag and rock, paper, scissors. Whew by Thursday everyone was loving the bootcamp while being wore out, but they learned how to roll shirts military style, and raced in a relay. Friday to finish out the week the kids got to write inspirational sayings to get them pumped for the tests, and learned what PT(physical training) was like. Overall the kids had a blast and reviewed everything important that they learned all year to be ready for the test!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!! YALL GOT THIS!!!
