Five of our Barry STEAM Academy Fifth Graders and Mrs. Wolfe made a trip to Artesia to sing in the NM Southeast Honor Choir event. They started off the trip with a double rainbow and choir songs! They had a blast and did so amazing if you see these kids let them know they did a GOOD JOB GOOD JOB!!!!

First Grades showcase was a success!!! They did an Animal Adaptation Module and learned all about Animals and their environments. They looked into the locomotion, food, protection, and camouflage adaptations. Designed a traveler for their designated environment, and designed a show for their traveler in that environment. Way to go first grade!! GOOD JOB GOOD JOB!!

First Grade Showcase
The Kindergarten with the Jack and the Beanstalk portion of our PLTW module on structure and function. The kids had to build a beanstalk with 5 pipe cleaners and they had to see if they could build it to be as tall as possible with it being freestanding, and then we measured with different non-standard units like glue sticks, unified cubes, and eggs to compare the heights.
