The Legends Tournament is happening in Clovis, NM, on April 26-27. Divisions: 7th-8th Boys 9th Boys JV Boys Varsity Boys $250 per team with a three-game guarantee. All area teams are invited to join. Alumni will be celebrated with a breakfast on April 26 at 8 a.m., followed by a three-point contest, skills contest, and a draft-style alumni game. Alumni should register individually using the QR code in the flyer.

Clovis Municipal Schools is offering free, pre-packaged meals for all enrolled students to ensure they have nutritious options during spring break! 📅 Date: March 12, 2025 ⏰ Time: 8:30–10:30 AM 📍 Pick-Up Locations: The Arts Academy at Bella Vista, Clovis Freshman Academy, Clovis High School, Lockwood, Yucca, Zia Meals are available while supplies last, so be sure to stop by early! No registration is required—just drive up and pick up your meals.

Friday, March 14, 2025 will be a Data Day. A previous version of the calendar listed this day as a Parent-Teacher Conference Day. There will be no school for students on this day; however, teachers and staff will be working and administrative offices will remain open. While there are no scheduled parent-teacher conferences on March 14, parents who wish to meet with their child's teacher are encouraged to reach out directly to schedule a conference at a mutually convenient time. Lockwood Early Childhood Center will be holding parent-teacher conferences for their 3Y and 4Y classes on March 14th. The Arts Academy at Bella Vista has had the privilege of working with a local artist to bring life to the walls at AABV! We are eternally grateful for the work of Tyler Simóne and the opportunity to bring art to the forefront of education. This art piece bridges a gap for students that fosters a learning environment safe for students to express themselves and encourage critical thinking skills. Here is a message about the artwork from the artist herself. “Bare your soul to me, then find all of the words to tell me all about it,” this part is always the hardest. Of all of the forms of art man has created, painting has always been the most breathtaking to me. Painting speaks a language that no other artforms speak, it speaks in silence. It is all the things we dare not say but we can't help but to feel. In our greatest times of grief we sink into the depths of silence, in our greatest joys we silently take in the moment. When staring at a painting that speaks to us we find ourselves lost in a moment of silence just the same. This mural, cheerful and playful, speaks silent whispers of imagination and the childlike wonder we once found ourselves captivated in, the wonder we once lost in the journey of growing up.The dancers dance a ballet never before performed, to music never before played in stories never before written. All that “is,” was once the silent dreams of another. It is their artistic bravery that allows us to get lost in the silent beauty of it today. For some they will look at this mural and see paint on a wall, for others they will be inspired. Jaruary 27-31st AABV • Tuesday is McTeacher's Night. AABV will receive a donation from McDonald's on Mitchell. Come eat from 5:30-7:30pm • Thursday is kindergarten 100th day of school! • Friday is Fine Dining if your 2nd-5th grader received an invitation. Fine Dining is based on grades, attendance, and behavior from the 2nd weeks of school. If students attend Fine Dining, they are encouraged to dress in their "Sunday best" Have a great WEEK!

Important Announcement: Clovis Municipal Schools will be releasing students early today due to worsening weather conditions. Friday, January 10, 2025 will be a remote learning day. All staff, including maintenance and custodial, will be remote for Friday. Students are expected to log in to Google Classroom at 9 AM to get the schedule for the day. In partnership with the City of Clovis, and to allow them time to continue to clear major roadways, Clovis Municipal Schools will be releasing students at the following times: Preschool/Elementary: 1:30 PM Middle School: 2:00 PM Secondary: 2:30 PM - Secondary student drivers are being released immediately. UPDATE: As of 2:13 PM, power has been restored at La Casita Elementary and iAcademy. For Immediate Release: Important Update: Power Outage at La Casita and iAcademy November 20, 204 - La Casita Elementary and iAcademy are currently experiencing a power outage due to a downed power line on Highway 60/84. As a result, school phones are temporarily unavailable. District administrators remain reachable by phone and are actively monitoring the situation in collaboration with utility providers. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available. Parents who need information can reach the district office at 575-769-4300.
