Student is using his hands to dig for chocolate chips in the cookie.

This week, our 4th graders in Mrs. Craig's class got hands-on with a sweet project! 🍪💡 Students became junior paleontologists, carefully "excavating" chocolate chips from cookies. On their first try, they had to use only their fingers to remove the chips without lifting the cookie—just like digging for fossils! Then, they were given tools to make the process a little easier. 🛠️

It was amazing to hear their conversations about which method worked best and how real-life paleontologists carefully extract fossils. Some students were so engaged, they wanted to learn even more about the fascinating world of paleontology! 🦕

Check out these photos and a short clip to see our students in action—learning has never been this fun! 📸🎥 #FuturePaleontologists #HandsOnLearning
