The Clovis Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission announced today that 18 students from Clovis Municipal Schools have been selected as winners of its Annual Art, Essay, and Speech contest.
Winners will be recognized at the 33rd Annual Scholarship Breakfast on January 13, 2024 at 9 am.
“The Clovis Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commission would like to thank all of the students, parents, teachers and administrators who participated in this year’s 33rd Annual Art, Essay, and Speech contest this year, based on the theme “It Starts with Me: Shifting the Cultural Climate through the Study and Practice of Kingian Non-Violence,” the commission said in its release.
“We had over 400 submissions in the three categories. Speech participants attended the District Competition on Dec 11, 2023 at Lincoln Jackson to perform their speeches.”
