La Casita Elementary School will conduct instruction remotely on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, to allow for repairs to the campus’ water main, which was damaged by recent cold temperatures.
On Remote Learning days students are expected to attend school virtually and attendance will be taken at all grade levels by logging into Google classroom. Grab and go meals will be made available for pick-up by families at the nearby iAcademy campus between 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Though the issues with the water system at the school were discovered upon opening Tuesday morning, students were able to attend in-person without being affected. It will, however, be necessary to turn off water service to the campus in order to complete repairs on Wednesday, leading to the decision to hold a remote instruction day.
Only La Casita has been affected, all other schools will conduct in-person instruction Wednesday, as scheduled.
