For several years, hers has been the face of celebration and hand holding the microphone as countless Clovis Municipal Schools (CMS) employees have received recognition for outstanding acts of service – Now it’s her turn.
Friday, Mandy Carpenter was named Administrator of the Year by the New Mexico School Personnel Association (NMSPA) during its 2024 annual conference in Albuquerque.
Executive Director of Talent Management & Development for the district, Carpenter has been instrumental in revolutionizing recruitment and hiring processes for the district, streamlining employee placement, management processes, and documentation systems, contributing to drastic improvement in recruitment, retention and professional development. Aside from improving functional processes, Carpenter has led the way in efforts to increase employee satisfaction and engagement, earning her the unofficial title of district celebration coordinator.
Beginning her time with the district in 2008 as an instructional coach at Marshall Middle School and transitioning to Principal at Parkview Elementary School in 2012, Carpenter joined the District Administration Team in 2016, when she was named Director of Human Resources. Prior to joining CMS, Carpenter served as an assistant principal for the Frisco Independent School District in Frisco, Texas, and taught in Richardson Texas.
Possessing a Master of Education and Bachelor of Elementary Education Degree from Oklahoma State University, Carpenter has a passion for education and has tailored her professional efforts toward providing educators with stellar support, an environment that nurtures growth, and deserved recognition and gratitude for outstanding service.
CMS has benefited tremendously from Carpenter’s efforts and fervent passion for providing staff the positive and progressive support they need to serve our students – it is with pride that we celebrate this well-deserved acknowledgment of her accomplishments and hard work.
