The final Outdoor Education Event is almost here! Come join us at Oasis State Park on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 9 AM - 1 PM. We will have fishing, hiking, survival skills, and free outdoor gear and lunch for our students.

We will meet at the big shelter at Oasis. Bus transportation is available.

Homecoming dress up days!

Volunteer training tonight at 6:30 in the boardroom of the district's administration building (1009 N. Main St). Training will last approximately 45 minutes. You will need to attend one of the volunteer training sessions before you may volunteer at a school.

One enrichment class offered this year at Barry STEAM Academy is Art with Resin. Their first art with resin projects are done! The things that were made are earrings, keychains, necklaces and even seashell art! What a fun way to learn that art can be done and rare gems can be made.

The First graders in Mrs. Adams class have been doing a little bit of research. They have been researching how plants and animals use adaptations to live. From desert cactus storing water to penguins staying wam, students discover the smart ways living things survive in their unique habitats.

Elementary Lunch Menu-English
Mindfulness is one of our Enrichment classes this year at Barry STEAM Academy and last week they worked on Self Control. They practiced their breathing techniques and talked about their spaces or bubbles. On Friday they got to practice and use their skills by blowing bubbles to demonstrate what they learned!

In First grade they have been learning about animal adaptations. Mrs. Adams class too time to learn how different bird beaks are adapted to find food.  What a fun way to learn more about the birds and how they hunt for their food!

Popcorn Friday, prices and seasonings.
Mrs. Sullivan's class learned about the letter D and had donuts. They used their 5 senses to observe the wonderful yummy donut holes. Mrs. Sullivan's class also learned different words, and for math added sprinkles. What a fun and yummy way to learn about the letter D!

Mrs. Winrow's class used the Scientific Inquiry Process to see which beak was the best. Beaks are:Spoons, Tweezers, and Clothespins. Food to get: Marbles, toothpicks, and straws.

We are so excited to get to sort some of our new friends into the house they will be in for life!

If your child is getting sorted an invitation was sent home with your child this week. If you did not receive an invitation your child will not be getting sorted just yet!!

Volunteers Needed
You are invited to join us for an upcoming volunteer training session. All volunteers are required to attend training before volunteering at a school campus or event. Sessions last around 45 minutes, and you only have to attend one session.

Fall 2025 Volunteer Training Sessions:

  • August 28th–1:30pm

  • September 9th–6:30pm

  • September 18th–1:30pm

  • October 7th–6:30pm

  • October 21st–1:30pm

  • November 6th–6:30pm

  • November 13th–1:30pm

All Volunteer Trainings will be held at the CMS Central Office

Did you know that all CMS students get FREE entry to every home football game in 2025-26 season?

Students at Clovis High School and Clovis High School Freshman Academy will need to show their school ID for free admission. Students in middle and elementary school can have free entry if accompanied by a paying adult (parent/guardian).

Middle school students must be accompanied by a paying parent/guardian, and they must sit either in the assigned middle school section or with their parent/guardian.

Come out and cheer on our Wildcats at their first home game of the season on Friday, August, 22, 2025 at 7 PM.
