CHSFA Nutrition and Wellness

Our 9th Grade Nutrition & Wellness students at CHSFA recently had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on learning experience with the Curry County Extension program. Students were introduced to the concept of farm-to-table and discussed the importance of understanding where our food originates. Following the lesson, they applied their learning by preparing their own personal pan pizzas using fresh ingredients provided by our guest speaker.

This activity not only reinforced classroom instruction but also highlighted the connection between agriculture, nutrition, and healthy food choices. We are grateful to Diana Wood with the Curry County Extension program for supporting our students with such an engaging and educational experience. Our students demonstrated great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed connecting their learning with a real-world, hands-on activity.
