The New Mexico Bilingualism & Biliteracy Seal is a prestigious seal awarded to students that are bilingual and biliterate. Clovis Municipal Schools is proud to recognize those students that strive to achieve this honor. It is our hope that our student's multilingual identities help them understand their heritage as well as the doors that being bilingual can open.

Clovis Municipal Schools would like to acknowledge all parents, guardians, teachers, and anyone who supports and believes in the importance of Bilingual Education. In this ever-changing economy, being bilingual or multilingual, prepares our students for the competitive world. We welcome all languages and cultures as part of our CMS family and are fully committed to promoting our diversity.

For a student to be awarded this seal on their high school diploma, they must meet the rigorous requirements set forth by the New Mexico Bilingualism and Biliteracy Seal. Students can apply and begin the process as early as 9th grade. There are over 30 possible languages!

Once the application is received, Santi Gutierrez, our Bilingual Coordinator, will reach out to the student for the next step.

SENIORS ONLY: the last day to apply for the NM Bilingualism & Biliteracy Seal is the Friday before Spring Break of the graduating year!
