Fall Break Graphic

Military and First Responders Appreciation Night will be held this Friday, October 3, 2025. Military members and first responders will receive free admission to the game with a valid ID.

Come cheer on our Wildcats as they take on Las Cruces at 7 PM at Leon Williams Stadium!

CMS staff and students also receive free admission to home football games with their school ID. Elementary and Middle School students can attend free with a paid parent/guardian.

The 8th grade Border Conference Volleyball Tournament will be held at W.D. Gattis Middle School (5100 N. Thornton) this Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025. Games will begin at 10 AM. Games may start up to 15 minutes early if the tournament is running ahead of schedule.

Admission is by card only. $5 plus $1 fee. No school passes or employee badges will be accepted for admission.

Cash concessions will be available.

Are you ready for the cross-town showdown? Our two middle schools, Yucca Middle School and W.D. Gattis Middle School, are ready for some friendly competition. Our volleyball teams will compete on Monday, September 29th, at The Rock Gym. The 7th grade A team will play at 4:30 PM, with the B team playing at 5:30 and the 8th grade team at 6:30 PM.

The football teams will be playing on Thursday, October 9th, at 5 PM (7th grade) and 6:30 PM (8th grade) at Leon Williams Stadium

You are invited to join us for an upcoming volunteer training session. All volunteers are required to attend training before volunteering at a school campus or event. Sessions last around 45 minutes, and you only have to attend one session.

New Wireless Device Guidelines for 2025–2026

To comply with a new state law, Clovis Municipal Schools has updated its rules for phones, tablets, smartwatches, smart glasses, and headphones/earbuds:

  • K-8: Off and out of sight during the school day

  • 9-12: Off during class; allowed at lunch & before/after school

  • Staff: Use only for professional purposes during instruction

āœ… Exceptions apply for emergencies, medical needs, and documented accommodations.

The Office of the Special Education Ombud (OSEO) offers free, confidential support to help New Mexico families navigate the special education system. Services include advocacy, meeting support, and collaboration to reduce barriers for students. OSEO also hosts monthly virtual office hours every first Thursday from 4:00–5:00 p.m., August 2025 through June 2026, where families can ask questions and get guidance.
