I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to send a reminder about the requirements for our Remote Learning Day tomorrow (1/10/25).
Remote Learning Days Schedule
9:00 - 9:30 First Period
9:30 - 10:00 Second Period
10:00 - 10:30 Third Period
10:30 - 11:00 Fourth Period
11:00 - 11:30 Fifth Period
11:30 - 12:00 Sixth Period
12:00 - 12:30 Seventh Period
Synchronous instruction will take place in blocks of time from 9:00-12:30. Please refer to the schedule above. Remote learning days are school days that are counted as a day of instruction. Attendance will be taken for each period.
Please ensure that students log into a live session for each class period. Teachers will take attendance and provide 15-20 minutes of instruction/practice, answer questions, and assist with makeup work. The teacher will keep Google Meet open for each class period to address studentsā needs.

Important Announcement: Clovis Municipal Schools will be releasing students early today due to worsening weather conditions.
Friday, January 10, 2025 will be a remote learning day. All staff, including maintenance and custodial, will be remote for Friday. Students are expected to log in to Google Classroom at 9 AM to get the schedule for the day.
In partnership with the City of Clovis, and to allow them time to continue to clear major roadways, Clovis Municipal Schools will be releasing students at the following times:
Preschool/Elementary: 1:30 PM
Middle School: 2:00 PM
Secondary: 2:30 PM - Secondary student drivers are being released immediately.

Wrestlers endured an 18 hour event starting at 5 a.m. ending at 10:30 p.m. resulting in the following wrestlers taking home a medal in their specific weight classes.

Important Update: Power Outage at La Casita and iAcademy
November 20, 204 - La Casita Elementary and iAcademy are currently experiencing a power outage due to a downed power line on Highway 60/84. As a result, school phones are temporarily unavailable.
District administrators remain reachable by phone and are actively monitoring the situation in collaboration with utility providers. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available. Parents who need information can reach the district office at 575-769-4300.

Clovis, NM ā James Bickley has currently been placed into āSecure and Teachā mode due to suspicious activity in the area. We are in close communication with local law enforcement and have implemented increased security measures within the campus.
Law enforcement has determined there is not a threat at this time.

7th Grade & 8th Grade students must have above a 2.0 GPA and No Fās from the end of
2024.
All Forms that must be completed online in Rank One. Physical Form Packets will be placed in the front office of Gattis Middle School.
Please submit all forms to Rank One by November 1.
Wear appropriate clothes and shoes to be able to try out.


Gattis 7th grade Volleyball teams played Yucca Middle School on Saturday September 7th at Yucca
Gattis' green team lost in two sets with the scores of 25-21 & 25-23.
The white team lost in two sets with the scores of 25-20 & 25-23.
The green team played against Elida on September 10, at Gattis. The team lost in two sets with the scores of 25-7 & 25-6.
Both teams will play Tucumcari Middle School this Wednesday, September 11th at Gattis.
The green team will play at 4:30 and the White team will play at 5:30.

Gattis Altruismo students and their families are invited to a black out/hang out party at Gattis from 5:30-7:00 PM. Members of the RCA house and their families will enjoy glow in the dark tic-tac-toe, bracelet making, music, glow in the dark pain and lots of fun. If you belong to Altruismo, please make plans to attend this fun get to know you event at Gattis.

All games will be held at Gattis Field. Please plan to bring folding chairs as we are still waiting for our bleachers. We plan to have a trailer for a concession stand and porta potties with a washable hand sink available for the game.
For those planning to attend, please note the parking instructions: the North gate near the school will be the designated area to pay for entry. Parents and visitors should park in the North parking lots, while the West parking lot near the football field will be reserved exclusively for the visiting team bus, officials, and medical emergency ambulance.
