Clovis High School Junior Varsity Wildcadette Dance Tryouts are coming up.

Mandatory clinics will be held May 11 and 12, 2026, from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m., with tryouts on May 14 beginning at 4:15 p.m. in the former CHS Freshman Academy Main Gym (1400 Cameo).

Students who will be in grades 9–12 during the 2026/2027 school year are invited to participate. No experience is necessary. This is a great opportunity to build confidence, learn new skills, and be part of an incredible team.

Participants must have a current physical and proof of insurance.

Students who will be in 9-12 grade for the 2026-2027 school year are invited to audition for Color Guard! Auditions will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM and on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Auditions will be held at the Marshall 6th Grade Academy Rubber Gym (100 Commerce Way). Enter through the back door to the Marshall Band Hall. It is marked with a red sign next to the loading dock. Follow the signs inside.

Our PLTW (Project Lead the Way) pathway is now accepting applications for incoming 8th-grade students! This hands-on STEM program gives students the chance to explore exciting topics like green architecture, flight and space, medical detectives, and automation and robotics.

Students in PLTW will learn through real-world projects, teamwork, and creative problem-solving—all during their science class and one elective period.

Clovis Municipal Schools Health Services Department is offering a free sports physical clinic on April 25, 2026, at The Rock Gym at Clovis High School (1900 N. Thornton). This clinic is open to all CMS students.

Clinic Schedule:
- 09:00 - 10:30: Football / Fall Sports
- 10:30 - 12:00: Basketball / Winter Sports
- 01:00 - 03:00: Spring Sports
- 03:00 - 05:00: Overflow / Open

Important Requirements:
- The "Medical History" portion of the physical form must be completed and signed by a parent/guardian before the student arrives.
- Students without parent signatures on file cannot be examined.

Next Steps for Participants:
1. Pick up the physical form packet from the Athletic Department Office or download it at https://www.clovis-schools.org/page/athletic-forms.
2. Complete and sign the parent history sections at home.
3. Send the student with the completed paperwork on Saturday, April 25th.

UPDATE - 2:10 PM - Due to the ongoing power outage at W.D. Gattis Middle School, the battery backups that were supporting phone and internet service have now been depleted. Instruction is continuing, and the power company is working to restore power.
