FRESHMAN ACADEMY CELEBRATES HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH!

From mid-September to October, students at the Clovis High School Freshman Academy took part in several events and celebrations observing Hispanic Heritage Month and Mexican Independence Day.

Not only did students with the Bilingual Program host a lunchtime celebration on campus – complete with candy, face paint, games and music – the Folkloric Ballet performed for audiences at Clovis Community College and Cannon Air Force Base!

National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
