An alert was inadvertently issued while staff were engaged in security training at the GC Ross Administration Building Friday afternoon, initiating a preliminary security response.
District security staff immediately issued an alert indicating the notification was a false alarm, reversing the alert status.
Clovis Municipal Schools conducts regular security training with staff to ensure proficiency in the event of an emergency. The events of Friday afternoon were the result of an unfortunate error. Efforts are being made to prevent similar issues in the future.
