Yucca Middle School is proud to unveil our new Military-Connected Students Wall, created to recognize and celebrate students whose families are connected to military service.
The wall gives our school community a visible way to honor these students and the families who support them, while recognizing the service, sacrifice, resilience, and strength that are part of military life.
This initiative reflects Yucca’s commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for military-connected students and aligns with the New Mexico Public Education Department’s Purple Star Schools Program.
We also remembered and honored those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, as students wrote “Dear Hero” letters expressing gratitude and appreciation. These heartfelt letters are displayed on the wall as a tribute to the heroes of 9/11.
At Yucca, we are proud to stand together as a community by honoring those who serve, supporting the families who stand beside them, and teaching our students the importance of remembering, recognizing, and caring for one another. ❤️💙
Courage. Service. Resilience. Compassion. Be Legendary.
If your child is a military-connected student and you want more information, please visit our website: https://www.clovis-schools.org/o/yms/page/military-families
This week in Theatre was all about celebrating Mexican Independence Day!
Our students worked together to create a Mexican Independence mural, researching interesting facts to bring their display to life.
But we didn’t stop there! Students then selected a historical figure from the Mexican Independence movement, researched their life and contributions, and used what they learned to create an original monologue inspired by that person.
Through their writing, students stepped into the shoes of their historical figures and brought history to life through theatre, creativity, and imagination!
So proud of the amazing work from our Theatre kids
¡Viva México! ❤️🤍💚

To help keep games at Leon Williams Stadium safe and enjoyable for everyone, all middle school-aged and younger students must enter with a parent or legal guardian and sit with their families during the game.
Students found away from their families will be directed back to their parents or guardians. Students who repeatedly do not follow this expectation may be asked to leave the stadium.
Thank you to our families and fans for your cooperation and for helping create a safe, positive game-day experience for everyone!
