Volunteers Needed
You are invited to join us for an upcoming volunteer training session. All volunteers are required to attend training before volunteering at a school campus or event. Sessions last around 45 minutes, and you only have to attend one session.
Fall 2025 Volunteer Training Sessions:

UPDATE, 8:46 AM: This morning, construction equipment in the Yucca Middle School parking lot caught fire. The fire was quickly contained, did not affect the school building itself. Out of an abundance of caution, students are being relocated to areas of the building where the odor is less noticeable, and efforts are underway to ventilate the school. We will continue to monitor conditions closely to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for all students.

August 22, 2025- At approximately 8:01 AM today, a fire alarm was activated at Yucca Middle School, due to construction equipment in the parking lot that caught fire. Students and staff were safely evacuated from the building, and the fire department responded promptly. Students will be directed to join their class groups upon arrival.

Students at Clovis High School and Clovis High School Freshman Academy will need to show their school ID for free admission. Students in middle and elementary school can have free entry if accompanied by a paying adult (parent/guardian).
Middle school students must be accompanied by a paying parent/guardian, and they must sit either in the assigned middle school section or with their parent/guardian.
Come out and cheer on our Wildcats at their first home game of the season on Friday, August, 22, 2025 at 7 PM.
Dance team tryouts for YMS 7th and 8th graders will be held at CHSFA Main Gym, 1400 Cameo St., with attendance required all three days.
Dates and times:
Tuesday, September 2, 4:15–5:30 p.m.;
Wednesday, September 3, 4:15–5:30 p.m.;
Thursday, September 4, tryouts begin at 4:30 p.m.
Participants must wear appropriate clothes and shoes, have a current physical and proof of insurance, and be academically eligible.

Practice is held on Monday and Tuesday at Ned Houk and at Clovis High School on Wednesday through Friday. Practices typically run from 7th period to 5:30 PM on most days.
Cross Country is open to students in 7-12th grade.
Students will need a sports physical and proof of insurance uploaded to RankOne before they can practice.

New Wireless Device Guidelines for 2025–2026
To comply with a new state law, Clovis Municipal Schools has updated its rules for phones, tablets, smartwatches, smart glasses, and headphones/earbuds:
K-8: Off and out of sight during the school day
9-12: Off during class; allowed at lunch & before/after school
Staff: Use only for professional purposes during instruction
✅ Exceptions apply for emergencies, medical needs, and documented accommodations.

Para cumplir con una nueva ley estatal, las escuelas de Clovis Municipal Schools han adoptado neuvas reglas para el uso de aparatos electronicos, incluidos teléfonos, tabletas, relojes inteligentes, gafas intelifentes y audifonos/auriculares.
K-8.º grado: Los aparatos deben estar apagados y fuera de la vista durante el día escolar.
9.º-12.º grado: Los aparatos deben estar apagados durante las clases, pero se permiten en el almuerzo y antes/después de la escuela.
