La Casa Family Dentistry is offering a school-based dental clinic for students at Highland Elementary, James Bickley Elementary, Arts Academy at Bella Vista, Marshall 6th Grade Academy, and Yucca Middle School.
Parents/Guardians who want their child to participate in this dental clinic will need to fill out and return the consent form that was sent from the school. If you need a consent form, please contact your school nurse. Services are provided at no upfront cost to families, but insurance will be billed. La Casa accepts Medicaid and private insurance and they also offer a sliding fee scale.

A volunteer training session will be held on Wednesday, October 16 at 6:30 PM in the boardroom at the Clovis Municipal Schools Central Office, located at 1009 N. Main St. All individuals who plan to volunteer this year are required to attend a training session before participating in any school activities.

Calendar Reminder: There will be no school for students October 10-13, 2025. Friday, October 10th will be a Data/PD Day for staff. All district offices will be closed on Monday, October 13th.
Military and First Responders Appreciation Night will be held this Friday, October 3, 2025. Military members and first responders will receive free admission to the game with a valid ID.
Come cheer on our Wildcats as they take on Las Cruces at 7 PM at Leon Williams Stadium!
CMS staff and students also receive free admission to home football games with their school ID. Elementary and Middle School students can attend free with a paid parent/guardian.

Out of an abundance of caution, Yucca Middle School was briefly placed in Secure and Teach mode at around 10:12 AM due to a report of unusual activity on the roof. Law enforcement conducted a thorough search, and no threat was detected. The mode was lifted at 10:22 AM.

Yucca Middle School is proud to recognize 8th grader Julia Bouchard as our Kiwanis Student of the Month. Julia has distinguished herself as a student who consistently goes above and beyond both in and out of the classroom. She is known by her teachers and peers for her caring nature, positive attitude, and dedication to learning, qualities that make her a role model for others.
Julia is a valued member of the YMS Dance Team, where she demonstrates not only her talent and creativity but also her commitment to teamwork and school spirit. Whether she is practicing with her team or participating in class, Julia brings energy, focus, and kindness to everything she does.
When thinking about her future, Julia aspires to become either a teacher or a police officer. Both career paths reflect her deep sense of service and desire to help others, qualities that are already evident in the way she treats her classmates and contributes to our school community.
