Marshall 6th Grade Academy Celebrates Black History Month!
Today we kicked off the month with a wonderful Black History Assembly. Led by Ms. Delgado, our beginning choir performed several songs all relating to Black History. Teacher Reese and her students also joined in the performance with poetry recitations and highlights of famous black performers.
Thank you to our students, teachers, and parents who made this assembly such a success!

Marshall 6th Grade Academy had a very successful Science Family Engagement Night! Students, parents, and teachers had a great time eating yummy foods and working at centers such as Make-a-Pinwheel, Build a Catapult, and last, but not least, Bernoulli's Principle Center. Thank you to all who came out and made it such a wonderful night of learning!

Today we join Altruismo by celebrating National Compliment Day!
Yesterday our kids worked in their SEL classes creating cards to give to staff and parents, and then today our teachers passed these out to parents at drop-off.
Make someone's day and give them a compliment!
Thank you parents for all you do!

The day ended with our three winners: Aiden Weston (1st), Annalaya Mondragon (runner-up), and Kynlee Ulibarri (runner-up). These three will go on to compete in our district competition on February 4th. Congratulations students! We are so proud of you!

Important Announcement: Clovis Municipal Schools will be releasing students early today due to worsening weather conditions.
Friday, January 10, 2025 will be a remote learning day. All staff, including maintenance and custodial, will be remote for Friday. Students are expected to log in to Google Classroom at 9 AM to get the schedule for the day.
In partnership with the City of Clovis, and to allow them time to continue to clear major roadways, Clovis Municipal Schools will be releasing students at the following times:
Preschool/Elementary: 1:30 PM
Middle School: 2:00 PM
Secondary: 2:30 PM - Secondary student drivers are being released immediately.
We understand that unexpected changes can be frustrating, and we appreciate your trust and flexibility as we navigate New Mexico’s unpredictable weather.
