Clovis High School’s Adrian Lucero Named Region IV Experienced Professional Fellow for ACTE’s National Leadership Fellowship Program
Clovis, NM – December 16, 2024 Clovis High School’s Career and Education Program Coordinator, Adrian Lucero, has been selected as the Region IV Experienced Professional Fellow for the prestigious 2025 Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) National Leadership Fellowship Program. This recognition highlights Lucero’s dedication to career and technical education (CTE) and his commitment to professional growth and leadership.
The Fellowship Program is a yearlong initiative, running from January to December 2025, that engages educators across ACTE’s five regions and multiple divisions. Fellows participate in a variety of activities aimed at advancing CTE programming and advocacy. These include serving on task forces addressing critical issues at state, regional, and national levels, collaborating with peers and mentors through monthly meetings, and presenting at ACTE’s CareerTech VISION 2025 conference.
“I am very thankful for all of the professional development and leadership opportunities that CMS has given me during my time in the district to prepare me for this,” said Lucero. “I am excited to represent Clovis and further develop my knowledge and leadership skills especially around the understanding of policy and advocacy.”
Established in 2009, the ACTE National Leadership Fellowship Program was created to:
Develop leadership skills among CTE educators and foster their involvement in professional associations.
Offer educators hands-on opportunities to engage in policy-making processes at the local, state, and federal levels.
Build a network of leaders dedicated to advancing ACTE’s mission of creating a prepared, adaptable, and competitive workforce.
Lucero’s selection reflects his commitment to these goals and his role in elevating the CTE programs within Clovis Municipal Schools. His participation will not only enhance his own professional growth, but also serve to further strengthen the district’s excellence in education.
