Valentine's Day Reminder: No School Deliveries

Dear CMS Families,
We hope you’re enjoying the start of the spring semester! As Valentine’s Day approaches, we want to share an important reminder about keeping our classrooms focused, safe, and distraction-free during this special season of celebration.

While we recognize the joy that comes with sharing Valentine’s gifts like flowers, balloons, or other items, we kindly ask families to avoid sending these items to school. Here’s why:

  • Safety and Responsibility: The district cannot assume responsibility for deliveries, nor for any lost or damaged items. While these gestures are thoughtful, managing them during the school day can create challenges.

  • Transportation Rules: Flowers, balloons, and similar items are not permitted on school buses or other district transportation. If a student receives such items, alternate transportation must be arranged.

  • Minimizing Disruptions: School-day deliveries can interfere with teaching and learning. Our goal is to maintain an environment where students are fully engaged in their academic growth.

Celebrating on Campus
Each campus will share specific plans for how Valentine’s Day will be celebrated, ensuring the day remains special and memorable for all students.

We also encourage you to support local businesses during this season by considering Valentine’s Day treats and gifts that can be enjoyed outside of school hours.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to provide a safe, focused, and enriching educational experience for all students.

With appreciation,
Clovis Municipal Schools
