Friday, March 14, 2025 will be a Data Day. A previous version of the calendar listed this day as a Parent-Teacher Conference Day.
There will be no school for students on this day; however, teachers and staff will be working and administrative offices will remain open.
While there are no scheduled parent-teacher conferences on March 14, parents who wish to meet with their child's teacher are encouraged to reach out directly to schedule a conference at a mutually convenient time.
Lockwood Early Childhood Center will be holding parent-teacher conferences for their 3Y and 4Y classes on March 14th.

Update: After thorough investigation in partnership with the Clovis Police Department, the Secure and Teach was lifted at 2:25 PM. Learning continued throughout the afternoon.
At approximately 11:30 AM, Friday, January 17, 2025, Clovis High School Freshman Academy was placed in Secure and Teach to allow for an investigation concerning written comments made by a student. Law enforcement has responded and is investigating in coordination with school administrators. At this time we donāt believe it is a credible threat, but out of an abundance of caution, we will maintain a police presence on campus.

The CHS boys' varsity basketball game against Portales on Friday, January 10, has been canceled due to inclement weather.


Important Announcement: Clovis Municipal Schools will be releasing students early today due to worsening weather conditions.
Friday, January 10, 2025 will be a remote learning day. All staff, including maintenance and custodial, will be remote for Friday. Students are expected to log in to Google Classroom at 9 AM to get the schedule for the day.
In partnership with the City of Clovis, and to allow them time to continue to clear major roadways, Clovis Municipal Schools will be releasing students at the following times:
Preschool/Elementary: 1:30 PM
Middle School: 2:00 PM
Secondary: 2:30 PM - Secondary student drivers are being released immediately.

We are thrilled to share that our CHS Varsity Hearthstone Team clinched an incredible win yesterday after school, defeating Hobbs in the Finals match of the Pacific Region Hearthstone Playoffs! This hard-fought battle came down to the wire, but our team showed exceptional skill, strategy, and perseverance to emerge as the Pacific Region Hearthstone Grand Champions! š®šŖ

Important Update: Power Outage at La Casita and iAcademy
November 20, 204 - La Casita Elementary and iAcademy are currently experiencing a power outage due to a downed power line on Highway 60/84. As a result, school phones are temporarily unavailable.
District administrators remain reachable by phone and are actively monitoring the situation in collaboration with utility providers. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available. Parents who need information can reach the district office at 575-769-4300.

Clovis, NM ā James Bickley has currently been placed into āSecure and Teachā mode due to suspicious activity in the area. We are in close communication with local law enforcement and have implemented increased security measures within the campus.
Law enforcement has determined there is not a threat at this time.

Clovis Regional Airport is accepting submissions for T-shirt designs for Wings N' Wheels 2023. Show off your creativity and enter the Wings N' Wheels T-Shirt Contest and your design could be chosen as the official festival T-Shirt!
Deadline for submissions is Friday, July 7, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.

Winner will be announced the week of July 17th, 2023
Contest Rules
ā Design will appear on the back of the shirt, in color and may not to exceed 8.5ā wide and 11ā high. T-shirts will be PMS CG10C, please keep this in mind during the design process.
ā One design per entry.
ā The design must use solid colors. The design can include a maximum of three different colors.
ā The design must include the event title āWings N' Wheelsā and the artwork must make reference to Wings N' Wheels being an event in Clovis, NM that includes a community car show, static plane show and military fly-in.
ā Your design must be original. By submitting a design, you are guaranteeing that it does not contain any copyright material.
ā This contest is open to all ages and skillsets.
ā All submissions must include the City of Clovis and Clovis Regional Airport logo within the design.
ā Itās best if you create your design in Photoshop or Illustrator or another professional design program. Free design software, such as Inkscape and Pixlr, are also an option. Submit entries as medium resolution JPEG, PNG, or PDF files. Please be prepared to submit the original file in the case your artwork is chosen. Design must be easy to reproduce by silkscreen. We reserve the right to make adjustments to the winning design.
ā Hand-drawn entries will also be accepted. Hand-drawn entries will need to have clean lines and be colored in dark ink with high contrast between objects and text within the design. This will ensure the design can be easily digitized by a media artist and then reproduced by silkscreen. Please use the attached entry forms with the City of Clovis & Clovis Regional Airport logo as a design prompt.
ā Entries must be submitted with the official entry form that indicates your name, school (if applicable), grade level (if applicable), phone number and design title and description.
ā Entries must be received by July 7th, 2023 at 3:00 p.m., and sent to airport@cityofclovis.org or delivered to the City Hall at 321 N. Connelly Street. All entry emails should have the subject line āWings N' Wheels T-shirt Design Contestā.
ā Entries become the property of Clovis Regional Airport.
ā We will be announcing the winner on the week of July 17th, 2023.
