🫧 **Hands-On Science in Action!** 🫧
Our AP Biology students were out of their seats and blowing bubbles today—not just for fun, but to model the complex properties of cell membranes!
Using real-world geometry skills, students calculated the **Surface Area to Volume ratio** of their bubble "cells" to measure and analyze cellular efficiency. Connecting math and science through hands-on labs makes these tricky concepts truly stick.
AP Biology is an absolute blast, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach such an incredible, curious group of students every day! 🧬🧫✨

Students may visit The Rock between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for on-site jacket sizing and ordering. Package options begin at $143, with leather sleeve upgrades and additional customization options available.

Today, River and Atlas, along with their handlers, visited our Small Animal Management classes as we continue our canine unit. Students had the opportunity to learn more about canines, the important jobs they can perform, and the role therapy dogs can play in our schools and communities.
Students also learned about River and Atlas’s individual journeys and how they became therapy dogs and valued employees of Clovis Municipal Schools. This hands-on experience helped students make real-world connections to the concepts we are learning in class.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed meeting River and Atlas and learning more about the important work they do! 🐾
