Thank you to our CHS History department for bringing us a fantastic learning strategy to take back to our classrooms yesterday. The CHS History teachers shared with staff a strategy called linking language. This approach draws on students’ prior knowledge, creativity, and writing skills across multiple genres. It allows students to use their different languages and unique perspectives to create stories or picture-based narratives connected to the subject we are studying in class. Linking language encourages learners to explore writing from different viewpoints while deepening their understanding of ideas,

The CHS Basketball Team will be hosting a Split the Pot 50/50 Raffle at this Friday's Homecoming Football game.

Tickets are $1 for 1 ticket or $5 for 7 tickets. Tickets will go on sale at 5:30 PM and sales will stop right before halftime.

The drawing will be held after the halftime band performance.

All proceeds benefit the CHS Boys Basketball team.

We are thrilled to announce and congratulate our CHS Folklorico team for winning 1st place at the Portales Ballet Folklórico competition at Eastern New Mexico University!

They received the following prestigious awards:
