Nicole Hahn Receives Outstanding Administrator Award from Project Lead The Way

PLTW honors outstanding administrators who inspire, engage and empower students through transformative learning experiences

Clovis, NM – Barry Steam Academy administrator Nicole Hahn has been named a 2025-26 Outstanding PLTW Administrator. This award recognizes outstanding educational leaders across the U.S. for their commitment to providing students with meaningful learning experiences through Project Lead The Way (PLTW) programs. PLTW is a nationwide non-profit organization that has been preparing students for careers, college and lifelong success for over 25 years through hands-on, project-based learning connected to career and technical education.

PLTW is honoring Nicole Hahn for her work in providing transformative learning experiences to the students at Barry Steam Academy.

Earlier this year, Barry STEAM Academy was named the 2025 New Mexico Excellence in STEM Award (STEMY) winner in the School category, highlighting the academy’s outstanding work in advancing science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education.

Presented by the Air Force Research Lab Tech Engagement Office and Q Station, the STEMYS celebrate individuals and organizations across New Mexico who are making a meaningful impact in STEM education. Barry STEAM Academy was selected for its innovative approach to hands-on learning, commitment to student engagement, and strong community partnerships.

“Every day, educators show up to make an important and life-changing difference in the lives of young people in communities all across our country. They build on students' natural curiosity and inspire confidence while helping prepare them for a range of life opportunities and experiences,” said Dr. David Dimmett, PLTW President and CEO. “PLTW is proud to honor and celebrate extraordinary educators each year through our national awards program.”

PLTW recognizes exceptional teachers and administrators from across its national network whose leadership and dedication play a vital role in equipping students to succeed in college, the workforce and life beyond the classroom.
