INSTRUCTION AT ZIA AND YUCCA RESUMES FOLLOWING EVACUATION DUE TO GAS ODORS
Students and staff have returned to the classroom and instruction has resumed following a report of gas odors this afternoon at Zia Elementary and Yucca Middle Schools.
The buildings were evacuated while the odors were investigated, and have been cleared for re-entry.

Zia Elementary and Yucca Middle School EVACUATED DUE TO GAS ODORS
Shortly before 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, October 8, 2024, gas odors were reported at Zia Elementary School, and Yucca Middle Schools.
The buildings have been evacuated while the odors are investigated and addressed. Students and staff will return to the buildings once the gas company clear the buildings.

Jared Sisneros joined Clovis Municipal Schools in 2018, and has worked as an Ed Fellow for many years before earning his teaching degree in May of 2024. Jared accepted a position P.E. teacher at the Freshman Academy and Assistant Football Coach for the 24-25 school year.

Have you heard about ECHS?
Early College High School is a program that provides Clovis High School students with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree/industry credential simultaneously through a partnership with Clovis Community College.
Current 9th and 10th grade students (and their parents) who are interested in the ECHS program are encouraged to attend one of the informational meetings.
Meetings will be February 21st and February 28th at 5:30pm in the CCC Town Hall. An interpreter will be available at the meeting to assist Spanish speaking families. Applications for the 24/25 school year will be released after these meetings.

REGISTER BY FRIDAY – CHALLENGE EXAMS HELP RECAPTURE/EARN CREDITS FOR STUDENTS IN 9th-12th GRADES! Clovis Municipal Schools will be administering three Challenge Exams June 6-7-8, 2023, for any student who has failed, or will be registered for one or more of these courses, but believes he/she can demonstrate proficiency in the essential knowledge and skills defined for the courses. A passing score of no less than 85% is required to receive credit for these courses on the student’s high school transcript.
