At approximately 10:35 a.m. today, a fire alarm was activated at La Casita Elementary School. All students and staff were safely evacuated as a precaution. There was no fire; the alarm was triggered by a water-flow sensor. The campus was cleared as safe for students and staff to return and resume instruction.
This week's new staff spotlight is Lorraine Lively. Lorraine is the new admin assistant at Yucca Middle School. Welcome, Lorraine!

Teacher Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Valid New Mexico teaching license with endorsements as needed.
• Pay Range based on experience: $58,941.00 - $94,468.00
• Special Education Teachers are eligible for a $3,000 stipend.
Educational Assistant Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED. Additional education and/or training is desirable.
• Possess or qualify for a New Mexico Level III Educational Assistant license.
• Pay range based on experience: $26,944.37 - $33,489.82

If you have submitted an application for Lockwood Early Childhood Center's 3-year-old or 4-year-old program, please make sure all required enrollment documents have been submitted.

• Vision and hearing checks
• Early learning concepts
Appointments are available on select dates throughout the school year.
