Game Day is almost here.

Clovis will take on Hobbs this Friday, February 13. JV tips off at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7:00 PM.

Boom sticks will be handed out while supplies last, and the Mini Cheer Camp will perform. Don’t forget to wear your purple and bring the energy.

Free admission for all CMS students and staff with a CMS ID badge. Tickets are also available online through GoFan.co (Search Clovis High School).

A quick reminder: If you have received a mail-in ballot for the Capital Improvement Act Tax election, your vote matters.

Although it’s too late to vote by mail, you can return your signed ballot to the Curry County Clerk’s Office, 417 Gidding St.

If you have not received your ballot, the County Clerk’s Office can print one for you.

Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026.

UPDATE: Arts Academy, Barry, and Highland recognition night will be moved to Friday, Feb. 13, 2026.

Clovis Municipal Schools is excited to celebrate our elementary schools during halftime of upcoming Wildcats basketball games at The Rock Gym at Clovis High School.

Elementary students, staff, and families are invited to attend, cheer on our Wildcats, and join us on the court for special recognition during halftime. A special section will be reserved for elementary students and their families. Students are encouraged to wear their house colors.

⭐ ALL elementary students receive FREE admission with a paying parent or guardian. CMS staff also receive free admission with their ID badge.

Important reminders:
📍 Line up in the foyer area of The Rock Gym at the 5:00 mark of the 2nd quarter to get ready for the halftime introduction.

🏈 Elementary Flag Football is back!
CMS students in grades K–5 are invited to join our free Elementary Youth Flag Football Program. The season begins March 23, 2026, and includes 3 weeks of skills development training followed by 2-3 game days.

Training Camp Schedule:
📅 March 23-April 9
• Grades K–1: Mondays, 5–6 PM
• Grades 2–3: Tuesdays, 5–6 PM
• Grades 4–5: Thursdays, 5–6 PM

Game Days: April 11 & April 18
(Possible game on April 25, if needed)

As Valentine’s Day approaches, we would like to share an important reminder to help keep our campuses safe, organized, and focused on learning.

While we know Valentine’s Day is a fun time to celebrate, families are asked not to send flowers, balloons, gifts, or food deliveries to school. These items, though thoughtful, can create challenges during the instructional day. Here’s why this practice is in place:

Student Safety and Accountability
The district is unable to accept responsibility for deliveries or for items that may be lost or damaged during the school day.

Transportation Guidelines
Items such as balloons, large gifts, and floral arrangements are not permitted on school buses or district transportation.

Minimizing Classroom Disruptions
Deliveries during the school day can interrupt instruction and take valuable learning time away from students.

Campus Celebrations
Each school campus will communicate its own Valentine’s Day plans to ensure students can still enjoy age-appropriate celebrations in a fun and organized way.

We appreciate your cooperation and support as we work together to keep our schools focused on what matters most: student learning and well-being. Thank you for helping make Valentine’s Day a positive experience for everyone.

🎾 Wildcat Tennis Camp is coming up!

Students in 1st–8th grade are invited to join us on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the CHS Tennis Courts (1900 N. Thornton) for a fun morning of skill-building and on-court action.

💵 Cost: $25 (cash or check)
🎒 Bring: Tennis racket and water
📍 Proceeds support the CHS Tennis Booster Club

Clovis High School FCCLA invites families to join us for the 2026 Prince & Princess Luncheon on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the CHS Cafeteria from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Dress up and enjoy a fresh meal, arts and crafts, games, and fun activities for all ages!

🎟 Tickets: $20 for 1 adult + 1 child (cash or check)
➕ $5 for each additional child | ➕ $10 for each additional adult

Volunteers make a difference! If you've ever wanted to volunteer with Clovis Municipal Schools, you are invited to attend an upcoming volunteer training.

Trainings last approximately 45 minutes and are held at the CMS Central Office (1009 N. Main Street).

Spring 2026 volunteer trainings will be held on the following dates:

• February 27 - 1:30 pm

• March 10 - 6:30 pm
